Çelebi is continuing with its international investments without any letup in pace. After launching airport operations in Hungary (Budapest) and India (Delhi and Mumbai), Çelebi Ground Handling (ÇGH) has been granted the right to provide ground handling services at Brussels South Charleroi Airport in Belgium.
Carrying out its international investments and activities without any letup in pace, Çelebi has been advancing confidently in the Turkish aviation industry for half a century. ÇGH's major international market investments, which began in Europe at the Budapest international airport in Hungary, continued with two of India´s most important airports: Delhi and Mumbai (Bombay). Having clinched the contracts for these operations, ÇGH has returned to Europe, this time with the right to provide ground handling services at Brussels South Charleroi Airport in Belgium.
Çelebi Ground Handling Hungary (CGHH), a Hungarian-based company in which ÇGH controls a 70% stake, applied for a license to provide ground handling services at Brussels South Charleroi Airport in Belgium. The application was approved by the Belgian transportation ministry, which granted the company a license to provide ground handling services at the airport for a period of ten years. The decree approving the CGHH license went into effect with its publication in the Belgian official gazette on 1 July 2009.
