Having commenced offering ground handling services as of 01 July 2009 within the frame of the ten-year ground handling license contract earned for the Mumbai International Airport, one of the largest airports in India, Çelebi-Nas India continues to expand its customer portfolio. Çelebi-Nas India personnel provided their first-ever service to SriLankan Airlines, the national airline of Srilanka, and to NAS Air on April 1st. With the services started to be offered to these two airlines, the number of customers Çelebi-Nas works on a contract basis rose to 15. From now on, our ground handling company in Mumbai will be serving 134 international flights and 364 domestic flights every week.
SriLankan Airlines aircraft that landed at Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport with 95 passengers, and the NAS Air plane that arrived with 59 passengers departed on the same day. During the welcoming ceremony attended by the entire senior management of Çelebi-Nas India, flowers and chocolates were presented to the flight crews. With 7 daily flights scheduled every week, SriLankan Airlines took off with 120 passengers, while NAS Air, which has four flights per week, had 124 passengers on board. NAS Air stated that they intend to hold additional flights during the hajj period in particular, and to include Delhi among its destinations, as well.
