ÇGH SAW Station successfully serviced Corsair's B747 aircraft that landed at Sabiha Gökçen Airport for 2010 Formula 1 Turkey Grand Prix held at İstanbul Park on 28 to 30 May. Following Paris-Sabiha Gökçen-Paris flight, Corsair representatives stated that they were highly satisfied with the operation that was completed smoothly owing to Çelebi employees' professionalism and experience in ground handling, and thanked the station directors.
Among those choosing ÇGH for ground handling were Iberia Airlines that made its Madrid-Sabiha Gökçen-Madrid with an A340 and Alitalia that flew Rome-Sabiha Gökçen-Rome with an A319 within the scope of F1 organization. Before taking off, representatives of the airlines congratulated ÇGH Sabiha Gökçen Station personnel once again for their friendly approach and high quality services.
Having provided service to 56 private foreign jet flights, 28 of them arrivals and 28 departures, during Formula 1 races, ÇGH SAW employees lived the thrill that the celebrities who experienced ÇGH ground handling services included Michael Schumacher, the famous German racer who came to İstanbul to participate in the rally and made his comeback to the race tracks as a Mercedes pilot at the age of 41, and Felipe Massa, Ferrari's successful pilot from Brazil.
The guests of Çelebi SAW Station admired for its successful operations carried out for private flights although having started operations only a short while ago include eminent names such as the former president Süleyman Demirel and the former manager of the Turkish national football team Fatih Terim.
